Las Vegas in Review

Kevin and I at the Sacramento Airport

As I mentioned last week, my husband and I went to Vegas over the weekend.

As soon as we arrived, we headed straight to the Neon Museum. This place is definitely not your average tourist trap. The cab driver didn't even know what we were talking about or where it was, so once he dropped us off, we still had to walk about a mile to find it. But it was well worth it. The photo opportunities were awesome (although you do have to sign a waver). Our guide, Chris (a girl Chris) was very sweet and informative and told our group (of about 8) the history of Las Vegas and the casinos. I have to admit, I had not put much thought into the history of Vegas before, but it was quite interesting!

After the Neon Graveyard, we walked the strip. We walked A LOT. Our poor feet hurt at the end of each day. The rest of the trip we just kind of hung out, ate too much food and enjoyed each other's company. We saw the Cirque du Soleil show Zumanity. It was great, but definitely not for everyone.

And we won $40 on Wheel of Fortune. Take that Vegas.
